Even with normal use, the eccentric lock may need tightening occasionally to ensure the handle locks properly. This is perfectly normal as an eccentric lock settles and wears slightly over time.

Annual inspection is a good idea and includes checking and tightening all bolts and nuts, and applying a drop of motor oil (e.g. 15W40) to the ball bearings, not so much for the lubrication effect as to protect the bearings from moisture and debris.

For winter or longer breaks (over 2 weeks), we recommend fully charging the battery and then disconnecting it from the charger, and then disconnecting the charger from the wall.

-Never leave the battery connected to a charger that is not connected to mains power.

The battery can then be stored in a temperate climate (room temperature) for up to 3 months before it needs to be recharged. We recommend indoor storage to avoid temperature fluctuations that cause condensation and thus possible condensation and subsequent corrosion. This also applies to the trolley with electronics, which also benefits from a stable temperature. 

Please note that different instructions apply to different batteries. What applies to our colleagues' batteries does not apply to our batteries - and vice versa.

Do this:

• A new battery should be fully charged before its first use – preferably for a full day.
• Normal battery maintenance involves charging the battery as soon as practically possible after use.
• Ensure the charger's light is green before connecting the battery. When the battery is connected, the charger's light should turn red and remain red during the charging phase. A full charge after an 18-hole round typically takes 3-4 hours.
• The battery benefits from being left on charge between rounds for cell balancing and maintenance, as long as you play at least every other week. If you are not going to play for 2 weeks or more, we consider it unnecessary to leave the battery on charge. - See Long-Term Storage
• Always leave the battery on charge even after the charging light turns green. A green light indicates that the basic charge is complete. Remaining charging and cell balancing then occur while the battery is on trickle charge. Failure to follow this will cause the battery to gradually lose power.
• For longer breaks from play (e.g., winter), the battery should be well charged and then disconnected from the charger, which should also be unplugged from the power outlet. The battery should be recharged at least every three months and fully charged before being used again.
• Check regularly that the charger's and battery's connection contacts are properly screwed together.

Do not do this:

• Never connect a timer or similar device between the power outlet and the charger.
• The battery must never be connected to a charger that is not plugged into a power outlet with power supply.
• The charger cable from the charger to the battery should be fully extended, and absolutely not coiled, as this creates an electrical coil that impairs charging.
• Other electrical equipment, such as machines, refrigerators, etc., should not be connected to the same power outlet as the charger.
• Handle the battery with care; do not drop or throw it.
• Never lift the battery by the cord.

Practical Tips:

• Never connect the battery to the trolley until the trolley is to be used. When the battery is connected, the brake is active and draws power. There is also a significant risk of accidentally touching the speed control when the trolley is packed into the car.
• Be careful not to drive the trolley at a higher speed than you yourself are walking. This means that you are braking the trolley and letting it go 'uphill' for 18 holes. A good way to check this is to make it a habit to release the trolley and walk beside it.
• If the battery does not last at least 18 holes (at least in the immediate years), it is usually because the latest charge has failed in some way. In addition to the power supply, it may be due to poor connection or similar. Once is 'no time,' while several times in a row give reason to contact Moby Dick AB for consultation and/or action. 

Unfortunately, the Cryo trolley is not available with remote control. This is partly because it requires double motors and double gearboxes, which in itself creates a bulky package, and partly because the requirements for remote control go directly against the philosophy behind the Cryo trolley: For a remote-controlled trolley to work well and be reliable, you want as large, heavy, and bulky a piece as possible to be able to rely on stability over distance where you do not see well covers, etc. The Cryo trolley, on the other hand, has a Distance Function that allows you to send the trolley approximately 10, 20, or 30 meters forward, e.g., when you walk up to the green but want to send the trolley closer to the road you cross towards the next tee.
